Ferrari Land History
In March 2014 The Investindustrial group and KKR, reached a licensing agreement with Ferrari to establish Ferrari Land, a new theme park dedicated to the global brand of Ferrari within the PortAventura.
The new branded site will be the sole Ferrari theme park in Europe and will envisage a total investment of more than €100 million. Expected to open during 2016, Ferrari Land was to be built on a total surface area of 75,000 square meters and benefit from several rides (including the highest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe).
Ferrari land opened in 2017 which was the third park to open under the Portaventura world umbrella. The park opened in April 2017 costing 100 million Euros.
Ferrari land currently has 7 rides, 1 being the tallest and fastest coaster in Europe at 368ft and 112MPH, 1 drop and 1 shot tower 2 flight simulators, 1 driving maranello grand race ride and a junior american whip. A few restaurants and play area.
The park attendance figures haven't been the best and reviews of the park are very low, With red force breaking down many times even on opening day which was broken down to overheating, And most days running on one train due to train problems, Park ticket prices started off at 35 euros and soon dropped to 20 euro to drive more visitors into the park.
