Alton Towers Say that the wickerman is there highest rated ride

Cedar Point adds second train to SV

January 01, 2020

Cedar Point started operating a second train on Steel Vengeance Friday, for the first time since the park's new roller coaster was involved in a minor collision on opening day.

The second train was added to the coaster this morning, in time for the park's CoasterMania event, an annual gathering of coaster fanatics from across the globe.

There's no word yet on when Cedar Point will add the ride's third train to its operation, bringing Steel Vengeance to its full capacity of 1,200 riders per hour.

The ride had been operating with one train since May 5, when two trains bumped each other in the loading station. No one was seriously hurt.

Since then, crews from Rocky Mountain Construction, the company that designed Steel Vengeance, have been in Sandusky working on the coaster. Cedar Point spokesman Tony Clark declined to say what was wrong with the ride, but observers at the park said crews were working on the coaster's braking system.

Starting Saturday, the coaster will be added back into Cedar Point's Fast Lane Plus program, which allows visitors to pay extra to go to the front of the line on certain rides that attract long lines.

Peppa Pig World new rides for 2018

May 16, 2018

Peppa Pig World has introduced two new rides for the summer of 2018

Peppa Pig World, which opened in Hampshire's Paulton's Park amusement park in 2011, has been extended to four acres with the two new rides to give visitor an even better experience of the world of their TV favourite Peppa and her friends.

The Queen's Flying Coach Ride and Grampy rabbits Sailing Club were unveiled to the public today as part of a new section of Peppa's world

The new section of the park also boasts a new dining area, The Queen's Kitchen, and there is a dedicated baby care centre.

The Queen's Flying Coach takes visitors on a monorail tour around the newly extended part of Peppa Pig World in brightly coloured coaches while the Queen herself (perhaps) gives a running commentary. The ride is suitable for children of all ages so even babes in arms can experience their first amusement ride.

Grampy Rabbits's sailing Club takes you for a lazy river cruise along a new water route around Pirate Island, and is a fun ride for tots and parents alike.

Stephen Lorton, commercial director at Paultons Park, said: "Paultons Park’s significant investment behind the expansion has created increased capacity, a new eatery, as well as the two new rides that offer panoramic views of this popular family destination. Both rides are suitable for young children of all ages accompanied by a parent, providing fun for all the family."

STEEL VENGEANCE UPDATE (from Tony Clark)

May 14, 2018

We have an update on the operation of Steel Vengeance.

Right now, Steel Vengeance will be running with one train while the manufacturer, Rocky Mountain Construction, makes adjustments to the ride.

Because wait times for Steel Vengeance will be longer than normal, and to permit as many guests to ride as possible, we may institute a timed “boarding pass” that gives you a time to return to get into the regular line. Note that this is not for immediate access – it only gives you a time to enter the line.

Going forward, if we implement boarding passes, we will notify you on our official Twitter, including the time they will be distributed. Boarding passes must be obtained near the ride entrance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Also, for now, we’ve removed Steel Vengeance from Fast Lane Plus. Keep in mind that you can still use Fast Lane Plus at many other attractions at the park, including Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, GateKeeper and Valravn.

However, if you purchased Fast Lane Plus in advance of your visit and have decided you no longer wish to use it, you may stop at any admission window prior to getting your wristband to receive a refund on your Fast Lane Plus purchase.

We will keep you updated once we receive further details from the manufacturer.
